Tile Tips
- Always buy one extra box of tiles at the time of purchase. This is to ensure that you have enough tiles to complete the job, it is also important to have some in reserve for repair work or future additions.
- Check the shades of the tiles you receive. At Chadwicks we endeavor to ensure that you do not receive mixed shades.
Remember that the exact same shade may not be available at a later date.
- Before fixing, ask your tiler to lay out a few tiles on the floor to give you an idea of how the finished product will look.
- Kitchen tiles will be exposed to various acidulous substances such as lemon, wine and so on, and must therefore be resistant to these.
- Similarly, when tiling around areas that are likely to get wet, it is necessary to use a waterproof adhesive.
