At Chadwicks we recognise the fact that safety is becoming more and more important and are committed to ensuring that all equipment hired or sold is used in a safe and proper manner. We have been awarded the Hire Association of Europe National Safety Award so you can be sure that our safety record is second to none. All equipment is hired subject to the Hire Association of Europe code of practice.

Chadwicks Hire Centres place a considerable emphasis on the maintenance and upkeep of all our products. Chadwicks have a full team of qualified fitters to service and maintain all equipment, thus ensuring reliable performance on site. Prior to hire, all our equipment is cleaned and tested and undergoes a rigorous and documented pre-delivery inspection. 

Chadwicks staff are trained to demonstrate the safe use of each piece of equipment hired, and also to advise on whatever personal protection equipment is necessary. We recommend that goggles, gloves, ear muffs and other protective clothing be worn when using most of the equipment listed. We carry a full range in stock and offer them with each hire. We also stock RCD units and these are available both for sale and for hire where necessary. Advice on equipment selection and operation is available, ensuring that you complete your task in the most efficient and cost effective manner. We give full operating instructions on all equipment. Our experienced and friendly staff are more than happy to assist you in any way they can.

• Helmet – protects from moving objects and overhead obstacles
• Safety harness – important to enable you to work safely in high areas.
• Protective gloves – Chadwicks stock a variety of gloves to provide hand protection, e.g. PVC gloves, gauntlets, cotton and rigger gloves.
• Safety boots – recommended for foot protection.
• Ear defenders – to protect the ear from high noise levels
• Dust mask – a range of masks to protect from various substances
• Welders mask – specially designed to protect the face when welding.
• Eye protection – safety goggles for eye protection.
